Rice is one of only two high schools in Vermont offering the AP Capstone Diploma Program. Over 20 students are taking the first course in this two-course program, AP Seminar. This week, the AP Seminar students completed the first round of their final Performance Tasks, a course requirement. Each team was asked to develop a research problem and question, research that problem, develop a solution, and report their findings. Their findings will go to The College Board as a part of their final portfolio. Congratulations to our AP Seminar students on this exciting milestone!

Chorus during COVID has certainly been challenging but it hasn't stopped us from making music. The weather couldn't stop us either. Although the quality of the performance was not as we hoped because the accompanists hands were freezing as well as the singers, we wanted to share our work. Special thank you to Steffen Parker for taking the film, and the brave accompanist Simon Yiga who battled the elements to help us out!
“Why didn’t God just do it this way?” said one of my students this week. It’s a fairly common occurrence in my freshman Scripture classes for students to tell me what they think God should do or should have done in a particular situation in the Bible. When we humans don’t understand the workings of God, we think we know a better way, but the truth is that God knows what is best for us, and his ways are so high above ours.
