The Rice Alpine ski team is off to an impressive start to the season with a notable victory at Mad River. On the boys' side, Tommy Archer earned silver, while Kevin McNeil secured a 7th place finish. Meanwhile, in the girls' race, the Knights nearly swept the podium with Ella McCormack securing 1st place and Taylor Moulton in 2nd place. Sadie Haskell and Mo Neider rounded out the girls' top 10 finishers with 6th, and 8th place finishes respectively. Our independent racers, Molly MacKenzie and Ian MacKenzie, out of BFA-St. Albans, also made their mark with top 10 finishes.
There is a lot of anticipation heading into the Rice "Slopeside Cup" Race on February 1st. The Knights have yet to win their home race, something the squad looks to change this year. The race also holds special significance as it doubles as the senior race for our eight graduating seniors, including Allison Winslow, Anthony Neri, Emilie Buttolph, Eve Neider, Jaeger Bowen, Kevin McNeill, Liam Bourgeois, and Max Lowry.
Come out to support the Alpine team on February 1st!
