Hannah Cunningham Selected as Presidential Scholar

Congratulations to Rice Senior Hannah Cunningham for being selected as a US presidential scholar. She is 1 of 2 students in Vermont and 1 of 161 students nationwide recognized by the White House for their achievements in academics, the arts, and technical education! We couldn’t be more proud!

As part of this process, Hannah was able to select a highly influential teacher and she chose Mr. TJ Matarazzo. She says, “Mr. Matarazzo not only pushed me to grow but he gave me the space and encouragement to tackle new initiatives. This award is a reflection on him as a teacher and mentor as well.”
