Madame Giron was born and raised in Nantes, on the West coast of France. She graduated from the University of Nantes and moved to Paris where she earned her teacher diploma at the Academy of Versailles. Since then, she has taught for 19 years at different level in France and in the US. In her spare time, she enjoys skiing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She also likes to travel to various countries and discover new cultures, experiences that made her realize the importance of speaking multiple languages to connect and navigate the world.

She has been teaching at Rice since 2021.
