for parents and guardians only (sorry, no students!)

Experience a "day in the life" of your child when they are at Rice,  hear about what your child will be learning, and meet your child's teachers. We've heard many parents are looking for more opportunities to meet one another. This year, at the start of Back to School Night we're hosting a parent mixer with light refreshments at the beginning of the event. Here’s an outline of the evening:

5:00-5:30 - Parent Mixer - refreshments provided
5:30pm - Welcome from Principal Nagy
5:45 - Walk through your Student’s Schedule
7:00 pm - close

Two important reminders:
1 - Please be sure to log on to the MyRice portal prior to this event so you can find and follow your child's schedule and you can visit their classrooms.  If you need help logging onto the MyRice portal, please contact Lois in our Guidance department: [email protected]

2 -  This isn’t intended to be a parent-teacher conference, and teachers won't be able to discuss your questions about individual students. Freshmen parents will have parent-teacher conferences in October. If you’re a parent of an upperclassmen, please know you are always welcome to reach out to our teachers if you have questions.
