Wednesday, October 16th: PSAT, PRE-ACT, and Freshmen conferences There are no classes on the 16th, but we are working! Here's what to expect:
Freshman will have parent-teacher conferences. These conferences will be in person between 9AM-1PM. Parents will be able to sign up for these conferences through a link sent out by Guidance.
Sophomores will be taking the Practice ACT from 8:00-11:30am. This is a practice standardized test that will help students prepare for the ACT. Please visit act.org for more information.
Juniors will be taking the digital PSAT, which is a practice SAT, from 8:00-11:30am. If juniors want to get a head start on preparing for the test, we recommend that you explore this webpage.
Seniors work from home and are encouraged to use the day to focus on important next steps in their academic journey: college applications, personal statements, scholarship essays, resumes, CSL projects, and other essential tasks as they prepare for life after graduation.
Note: In early October, the school counselors will talk with sophomores and juniors about these tests, how to prepare, and how standardized tests fit into the college application process. Students are encouraged but not required to prepare in advance for either of these tests.
