“Rice Prep Hockey is an exceptional program. The structure allowed me to develop many important facets needed to succeed at the next level. On-ice practices were often geared toward small games—something that allowed me to improve my creativity constantly. Off-ice workouts helped me to develop the strength and speed that was necessary to succeed at the next level, and to prevent injuries. The unique setup of playing upwards of 50-60 games allowed me to accumulate the experience I needed to really improve my game (without playing for multiple teams to get the same number of games, as I would have had to do at a regular prep school.) The coaching staff is incredibly invested in the girls not just as players and athletes but also as people. The culture of the team has always been both intense and positive. All these elements contribute to the best possible combination that ultimately leads to success.”
