Rice Student Wins Gold at the Vermont STEM Fair
International Student, Jeonghun Jin, won a Gold Medal at the Vermont STEM Fair for his project comparing carbon dioxide consumption rates of spinach leaves, a measure of photosynthesis, at various temperatures. This competition is open to middle and high school students throughout Vermont and is an opportunity for aspiring scientists to showcase their independent research. They have hundreds of submissions each year and each project is judged by a panel of professionals. It’s a great honor to win a prize and we are proud to have Jeonghun represent Rice so professionally.
