Cunningham and McGibney Represent Rice at New Englands

On June 8th, Junior Elizabeth Cunningham and Freshman Molly McGibney competed at the New England High School Outdoor Track & Field Championship at Wildcat Stadium on the campus of the University of New Hampshire.  The ladies were up against the best New England has to offer. Molly was one of only two freshmen to qualify for the meet in discus, and Elizabeth finished the 1600 in 5:00.08. That time was good enough for 4th at the meet, and a new PR!


With this performance, Elizabeth is also the new Vermont D2 state record holder in the 1500m, breaking the record held by Tara Chaplin of U-32, set in 1998. Congratulations to both on exceptional performances!
