I enjoy teaching because: I enjoy teaching because of the students. I enjoy interacting with them and having fun in the classroom. I like to think that through a relaxed but “strict” environment students will want to come to class to learn.
I choose to teach at Rice because of the community. I enjoy the small size and the fact that I can get to know most of the students in the building. I am also a big fan of Catholic schools and I am glad to have spent 35 years teaching in a Catholic school (10 on Long Island)

If a prospective family asked you “why should I send my student to Rice,” what would you say? The faculty at Rice is made up of truly caring and supportive people. Despite getting paid below what our colleagues in public school get paid, our faculty goes above and beyond for the students because they truly care.
