Providence College - B.A. Philosophy
St. John's Seminary - S.T.B. Sacred Theology
Fr. Sanderson grew up in Orwell, VT. He did Cross Country running for four years at Fair Haven Union High School. During the spring semester of his senior year in high school--without really telling anyone--he decided to "try out" seminary. He wanted to see if the Lord was really calling him to be a Catholic priest. He began his seminary studies at Our Lady of Providence Seminary in Providence, Rhode Island, and studied Philosophy at Providence College. After four years, he moved on to St. John's Seminary in Boston for four more years of formation and received an S.T.B. in Sacred Theology from Boston College. He was ordained to the Holy Priesthood on June 17th, 2017 at St. Joseph Co-Cathedral in Burlington, VT. He has been assigned as Parochial Vicar at Christ the King--St. Anthony Parish in Burlington, and he is also the Sophomore Class Chaplain at Rice Memorial High School.
Since being ordained a priest, Fr. Sanderson has never been happier! In his spare time he enjoys hiking, biking, kayaking, watching movies, and once in a while adding to his Lego collection.
