Cornell College - B.A. in Greek
University of Iowa - M.A. & PhD in Classics
Teaching Latin at a Catholic school has been John Cirignano's goal since studying classics as a graduate student at the University of Iowa. He fell very deeply in love with all things Latin in 1989 while studying in Rome with papal secretary, Fr. Reginald Foster. Mr. "C" has been teaching Latin at Rice since 2007; previously he taught Latin, Greek, and Philosophy in area colleges. When not conjugating and declining, Mr. Cirignano enjoys travelling, biking, basketball, yoga, and music.
