Born and raised in Connecticut, Robert Dornfried earned a bachelor’s degree in History at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA after graduating from Northwest Catholic High School in West Hartford, CT. While at Holy Cross, he also worked towards completion of student-teaching in the Worcester Public Schools and served as a placekicker on the football team. Upon graduation, he entered into the classroom at East Catholic High School in Manchester, CT while also completing a M.A. from Wesleyan University (CT) in Liberal Studies, with a concentration in History. From there, Mr. Dornfried taught abroad in Innsbruck, Austria as a Fulbright U.S. Teaching Assistant before returning to the United States to assume a teaching position in Stowe. After a stint teaching back in Connecticut, he is proud to return to the Green Mountain State to settle with his young family, and is eager to fulfill his role as History teacher, Model United Nations club advisor, and volunteer coach. Outside of the classroom, he is an avid outdoorsman and member of the Vermont Army National Guard.
