Prospective students 8th grade and higher are invited to join us for a shadow day. We'll make every effort to pair your child with a current Rice student with similar interests. While these visits aren’t mandatory, they are encouraged as many of our students say that their shadow visit was an important factor in choosing Rice. 

Details:

• Shadow Days happen Thursdays & Fridays, the last shadow day will be on Thur 5/22
• Students are asked to arrive at Rice by 7:45am and can choose to stay for a half day (11:15am pick up before lunch) or stay for a full day (2:30pm dismissal). If staying for the full day, lunch will be provided.
• Shadow days will be offered to current 8th graders as well as current high school students who are looking to explore Rice.
• Prospective students will shadow a current student in the grade that they will be going into the following year. For example, current 8th graders will shadow a current Rice 9th grader.
